According to the report, the average price of private school tuition statewide is approximately $24,395 per year, with the private elementary school average of $14,424 per year and the private high school average of $31,893 per year.
The most expensive tuition in Connecticut is Franklin Academy, at $77,000, while Litchfield Montessori School is the lowest, at just $1,550 annually.
Fairfield County private schools that are among the most expensive in Connecticut include:
- The Southport School in Southport, which has 104 students and a yearly tuition of $52,900, and an average class size of eight students.
- The Villa Maria School on Sky Meadow Drive in Stamford, which houses 74 students grades K through 9 has an annual tuition of $44,000.
- The King School on Newfield Avenue in Stamford is also among the most expensive, with 675 students paying an yearly tuition of $42,800.
- The Bridgeport International Academy in Bridgeport has 70 high school students ranging with a yearly tuition of $41,900.
- St. Luke’s School in New Canaan has an annual tuition of $39,980 for each of its 565 students.
- Brunswick School in Greenwich, which houses 964 students from pre-K through graduation, has an annual tuition of $37,050.
